Team 360 FC has advanced to the next stage in the ongoing 1xcup after defeating Soccer Talent FC by 2-1. 1xcup is an annual community football tournament sponsored by 1Xbet, and the 2025 edition is the third edition of the biggest grassroots tournament in Nigeria.
The match took place Wednesday, 16th July 2025, at the Inspire Sports Arena in Oshodi-Lagos, by 12:00 PM local time.
The two teams started the game positively, knowing fully that a win will move them to the next round and a defeat will eliminate them from the tournament, but it was Team 360 FC that got the first big chance that was agonisingly missed by Aman Brown wearing jersey number 3.
In the eighth minute of the game, Team 360 FC broke the deadlock through their right-wing forward Onuma Chidera (jersey number 13) to give the Surulere-based team the lead.
Team 360 FC’s lead lasted for only five minutes, as Adeshina Ogunwale (jersey number 63), the centre-back, converted from the spot kick after a penalty was awarded to give Soccer Talents FC a well-deserved equaliser.
Aman Brown scored with his head in the 29th minute of the game, jumping higher to nod a well-delivered cross from the right wing by Lekan Kofoworola (jersey 17), who galloped forward from his right-back position to cross the ball.
The two teams proceeded to the locker room with the first half concluding at 2-1 in favour of Team 360 FC.
In the second half, Team 360 FC maintained dominance and generated several scoring opportunities but failed to convert any, largely due to the well-organised defence of Soccer Talents FC. The match concluded with a score of 2-1 in favour of Team 360 FC.
My players played to instruction, but I think we will just need to work on some little lapses in the second half. We came prepared for this game because we did not do well in the last edition
Shola Raji, the head coach of Team 360 FC, told futebol.com.ng after the match, he continued, “We will go back to our drawing board, and we must continue to talk to the players in areas they need to improve, especially in front of the opponent box.”

In a post-match interview, Aman Brown told futebol.com.ng how he felt after the final whistle:
I felt so happy and relieved because it is my job to score goals for my team. I am happy I did today and also happy that we have qualified for the next round of the 1xCup. I felt we could have scored more goals because we created more chances in the game, especially in the second half of the game.
When asked what he thinks they did well as a team, he had this to say: “We played as a united team today, it was mass defence and mass attack. Everyone worked hard today, and I must give kudos to all the players.”

The winner of the 2025 edition of the 1xCup will receive ten million naira, while the second and third runners-up will take home five million and three million naira, respectively.
