Prince Kazeem Eletu FC put three goals past FC Royal Asterisk in the ongoing 1xCup 2025, an annual community football tournament sponsored by 1Xbet.
The match took place on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, at the Inspire Sport Arena in Oshodi, Lagos. It was a matchday four fixture of the tournament and also the final match of the day.
Prince Kazeem Eletu FC started the game on the front foot, asking vital questions in the early minutes of the game, but the goalkeeper of FC Royal Asterisk, Johnson Okon, made some important saves to stop the boys from Prince Kazeem Eletu FC.
FC Royal Asterisk attackers also force Raji Oba, the goalkeeper of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, to make some good saves.
Prince Kazeem Eletu FC’s player, Numan Sharani, wearing jersey number 9, broke the deadlock in the first half, giving his team a 1-0 lead as the first half concluded in favour of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC.
FC Royal Asterisk came into the second half with fresh determination, knowing fully well that if they lost the game, they would be eliminated from the tournament, but they could not find a solution for Precious Ogunyashe Prince Kazeem Eletu FC’s jersey number 10, who took total control of the midfield, creating chances for his team.

Tobiloba Ashmi (jersey number 8) scored a beautiful goal to increase his team lead with an assist from Jude Bright (jersey number 11), while Johnson Samuel scored the third goal that ensured Prince Kazeem Eletu FC moved to the next round of the tournament.
We did a good job because we prepared well before this game; our teamwork was close to perfect, we were compacted, and the buildup and the possession were good.
Precious Ogunyashe disclosed to futebol.com.ng in a post-match interview. The attacking midfielder has this to say when asked what he thinks the next match will be:
Victory. From our performance today, you can see we created lots of chances and would have scored more goals. We believe moving forward we will convert all the chances we will create.
According to Mr Eletu Muftau Jnr, the general manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC, he is happy for the win and also for the performance of the entire team but believes his boys deserved more goals because they created more chances but failed to convert their chances. He also thinks moving forward his team needs to do more up front by converting their chances and also play at a higher level than they do today.
The general manager wasted no time in praising the organisers of the 1xCup for a job well done.
The winner of the 2025 edition of the 1xcup will be going home with ten million naira, while the second and third runners-up will go home with five million naira and three million naira, respectively.
