Two-time Dynasty Scouting League champions Leal SC hammered Utmost FC 1-3 in the ongoing DSL 2025 season 1, on Thursday, 27th March, 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The league debutant before the match against Leal SC had lost one game and drawn two and were hoping to get their first win in the league.
Leal SC’s left back Taofeek Oyetunji scored in the 7th minute of the game to give his team the lead, while in the 16th minute of the game, Olamilekan Adekola doubled the lead for Leal SC. Ojeka Sunday scored the third goal for Leal SC in the 40th minute of the first half and also increased his goal tally for the season to five.
Favour Badu scored a consolation goal for Utmost FC in the second half of the game; the game ended 1-3 in favour of Leal SC.
Taofeek Oyetunji was named the TSM MOTM award winner, an award sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.
“It is not easy to secure three points in a league like this. I’m so happy with the three points, but to be honest, I’m not happy with their performance.” Leal SC’s gaffer Abdulrazaq Shakiru disclosed to Futebol in a post-match interview.
When asked about his expectation for the rest of the season, Coach Abdulrazaq Shakiru’s response was:
Not too much expectation; we just want to get better game by game, and we hope by the end of the league we will be where we ought to be.
Leal SC will face the defending champions (Utility Sport FC) in their next league game, MW5, who are currently top of the DSL log with 10 points, just like Leal SC but with superior goals advantage.
