Following Ibrahim Dauda’s impressive debut season for SC Union 03, scoring 9 goals and 4 assists in 10 league games for the German outfit and also helping them to secure promotion, he was also selected for the league’s team of the week in his last five consecutive games before the last game of the season and also won 4 MOTM awards this season.
Dauda’s impressive performances for SC Union caught the attention of a renowned football agency in Germany, who invited him for a tryout with SV Darmstadt 1898, a Bundesliga (second division) team based in Darmstadt, Hesse, in Germany.
The tryout was organised by FCA, in conjunction with SV Darmstadt 1898, to give all the invited players the unique opportunity to train in high-level facilities, taking advantage of the professional infrastructure of a club that plays in the Bundesliga.
“The training sessions and the equipment there were different and more professional. I am not sad I wasn’t signed because the experience and exposure I had alone training with them and attending the camp was good. “ I also made new contacts with other players and other people that might open doors elsewhere for me.” Dauda Ibrahim disclosed to futebol.com.ng when asked about his experience in the FCA camp.

The former Immaculate FC player continued, “One of the reasons that I was not signed was because of the policy of the number of foreign players the team can accommodate; they have already signed enough foreigners, and I met some Brazilian players already in the camp. The agency that invited me to the camp told me they were impressed with my performance and stats during my stay (six days) in the FCA camp, and they will look for another opportunity for me soon.”
futebol.com.ng wishes Ibrahim Dauda all the best in his football career.
