Not every day we see or hear a team score eight goals or concede eight goals in modern football.

Fima FC delighted their fans after scoring eight goals in a DSL week two clash against one of the league debutants, Diadem Stallion FC. The match was played on Thursday, 13th March 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

It was a bad day in the office for the Lagos-based side; they ended the game with 10 men after Omoshola Taiwo was sent for an early shower by the centre referee when he was shown the second yellow card and a red card to give Fima FC a numerical advantage.

Paul Abel scored a brace, while the remaining six goals were from six different players in the Fima FC team; Pascal Omefe scored the only goal for Diadem Stallion FC.

In a post-match interview, Fima FC’s coach insisted that his club is a contender for the league title when asked and also thinks his team needs to improve in the area of finishing (goal scoring).

When asked about the Dynasty Scouting League this year, Coach Sam has this to say:

I think the league is on another level this year; in terms of officiating, in terms of organisation, everything is perfect.

Fima FC’s Paul Abel was voted the TSM MOTM, an award sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.

Fima FC, who are currently at the top of the DSL 2025 S1 log with six maximum points from two games, will play their next match against BE Arena FA on Thursday, 20th March 2025.

Fans of Fima FC will only hope the festival of goals will continue in their next game.
