Ex-Immaculate FC player shines in Germany, eyes promotion with his club in his first season.

Dauda Ibrahim’s brace vital for SC Union 03 promotion race.

SC Union 03 Altona of Germany attacker Dauda Ibrahim shines in Oberliga (5th division) week-27 match against SV Eldelstedt 1, scoring two goals and providing two assists in today’s game that ended 5-1in favour of SC Union 03.

The Nigerian-born attacker scored a brace in the match, a goal in each half, in the 11th and 54th minutes, respectively.

The former Immaculate FC’ player has been in great form since joining SC Union 03, scoring 7 goals and 4 assists in 9 league games for the German outfit.

Dauda is eyeing promotion with SC Union 03 in his first season with the team. A win in their last league game in week 28 against Nienstedten 2, will ensure a direct promotion to the German 4th division.

Dauda Ibrahim has been selected for the league’s team of the week in his last four consecutive games before today’s game and also won 4 MOTM awards this season.

“I’m delighted that our destiny is in our hands; we just need to win and get the promotion ticket. We will play the game like a cup final.”

Dauda Ibrahim disclosed to futebol.com.ng in a post-match interview.

When asked about his outstanding form this season, the former SC Concordia von 1907 of Germany player has this to say:

To be sincere, I do not care about my form now; I’m more concerned about the team performance. We have just one more game, and we must focus on our last game to get the result we all need.

SC Union 03 are currently topping the league table with 61 points after 27 games.
