DSL WEEK ONE ROUND-UP: Leal SC scored six goals past league debutants, as R2D FC defeated Dshack FA to win their first ever DSL game.

The much-anticipated Dynasty Scouting League 2025 season 2 kicked off on Thursday, 4th September, at the Otunba Dipo Dino International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Six games were played, starting with the opening fixture between three-time league winners and defending champions Leal SC and one of the four debutant teams, Easy Nter Global FC, from Lagos State.

As expected, the atmosphere at the stadium was electrifying as the two teams brought their A-game in the season opener, but it was Easy N’ter who silenced the Leal SC fans after scoring in the 26th minute of the game through an own goal by Omowa Samuel, the Leal SC goalkeeper.

In the 33rd minute, the defending champions got their equaliser through Onakoya Victor. The first half ended 1-1, but Leal SC came in the second half firing on all cylinders, scoring five more goals to finish the game 6-1. Not a good day in the office for Easy N’ter FC, as they will go back to their drawing board to prepare for match week two.

In the second, Super Accurate FC’s Onabanjo scored an early goal in the 5th minute of the game against Immaculate FC, who did not start the half on the front foot. Abiodun John (jersey number 17) scored a brace in the 7th and 18th minutes to increase his team lead to three goals. It was a game of two halves, as Immaculate FC was the better side in the second half. Oruta Jude (jersey number 20) scored one for Immaculate FC to bring the game alive. Owolabi Shola Immaculate FC’s captain wasted a chance from the spot kick to put more pressure on Super Accurate FA, as the game ended 3-1 in favour of the team from Ikene-Remo, Ogun State.

Ilaji FC, from Ibadam, scored three goals past Kiraa FC in the third match of the day. Teslim Animasahun and Mohammed Tobiloba scored in the 18th and 29th minutes, respectively, in the first half of the game, while Alli Sarafadeen scored the third goal in the 71st minute of the game. It ended 3-0, in favour of Ilaji FC.

D2R FC scored in less than 3 minutes of the game against Dshack FA; Diata Asor converted the goal for D2R FC. Try as they may, Dshack FA could not breach the defence line of D2R FC till the end of the match. It ended 1-0 in favour of the league debutant. Following Dshack FC’s performance in the 2025 DSL S1, bookmakers and football pundits predicted they would win, but the lads from D2R proved them wrong.

In the fifth game there was really nothing to separate the two league debutants, as the game ended 1-1. Moxie Samuria FC broke the deadlock in the 19th minute of the game via Olabode Raphael’s goal, but Testimony Nzom’s stunner in the 25th minute, which could win goal of the month, ensured Stanique FC did not go home empty-handed in their first-ever DSL game.

In the last game, Obazz FC played 2-2 with Kakawa FC, who are one-time champions of the Dynasty Scouting League. Kakawa FC scored the opener through their centre forward, Shammah, in the 12th minute. Three minutes later, Ebuka Anthony equalised for Obazz FC as the first half ended 1-1. A. Simeon increased the lead for Obazz FC in the second half, but C. David ensured Kakawa FC would go home with a point when he scored two minutes to the end of the match.
