Before the week seven fixtures that took place on Thursday, 17th April 2025, at the main bowl of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Diadem Stallion FC were 13th on the DSL 2025 S1 league log with just one point, having played 5 games, drawn one and lost four, and with an outstanding game against BE Arena FA, a week six fixture that was postponed, while Rising Royal FA were 11th on the log with four points, having played 6 games, won one , drew one and lost four.
In terms of the form guide, there was nothing to separate the two teams, as both have lost their last three games.
A brace from Jelili Jimoh in the first half of the game and a goal each from Abiodun Olawale and Dolapo Aderibigbe ensured Diadem Stallion FC won their first game in the league and also boosted their team’s confidence and spirits moving forward in the league.
