Immaculate FC’s mercurial midfielder, Owolabi Shola, had a five-star performance in the game against De Elite FA in the ongoing Dynasty Scouting League Season One, Week Seven fixture that was played Thursday, 17th April 2025, at the main bowl of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
Immaculate FC’s jersey number 7, who just recovered from a knee injury prior to this match, has made only two second-half appearances as a sub in his team’s previous two games against Ilaji FC and Fima FC in weeks five and six, respectively.
The left-footed attacking midfielder, on his first start of the season, created a perfect assist for Ukale Olatunji to score Immaculate FC’s first goal in the first half of the game. In the second half he scored a breathtaking long-range free kick to secure all three points for Immaculate FC, as the game ended 0-2 in favour of Immaculate FC.
Owolabi Shola was named the TSM MOTM award winner, an award sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.

In a post-match interview with futebol.com.ng, Owolabi Shola said it is important to start playing football again after some months and that he was delighted to be helping his team in a moment like this.
When asked how he felt when he was named the MOTM, he had this to say:
To be sincere, I think everyone in our team today deserved the award because we were determined to go home with our first three points since the beginning of the season, and we did it
Shola wasted no time in appreciating his team management for encouraging and supporting him in his down moments and also thanking his coach for believing and trusting him after he recovered from his injury.
Prior to the game against De Elite FA, Immaculate FC had played six games, lost four and drew two.
The win against De Elite FA means Immaculate FC has moved upward on the DSL 2025 S1 league table from 12th to 10th position with five points after seven league games.
With just six league games to go, will Owolabi Shola be the one to change Immaculate FC’s season for good?
