Following the conclusion of match week one, several teams utilised the opportunity to reassess their strategies in preparation for week two. Out of the 13 participating teams, Kakawa FC were the only team that did not play on match week 2 of the 2025 DSL season 2, as they had to rest because of the league fixtures. Six matches were played on match week two, with 22 goals scored and 2 clean sheets. All week two games were played Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
In match one, it was revenge time for Obazz FC, after their 2-0 loss to Immaculate FC a year ago in the league. A first-half hat-trick from Emmanuel Edet (jersey number 17) ensured Obazz FC had control of the game. Just like in their last game against Super Accurate FC, Immaculate FC started the game very poorly but came out in the second half as the better team. Owolabi Shola converted a penalty in the second half to make it 1-3, but Clinton scored the 4th goal for Obazz FC from a counterattack. It ended 1-4 in favour of Obazz FC.
After a defeat from one of the league debutants (D2R FC) in match week one, D Shack FA ensured they got the maximum 3 points against Kirra FC. Victor Yunana (Jersey number 11) gave D Shack FA the lead in the 68th minute of the game. Kirra FC gave a good fight from the start of the game till the end but went home with nothing as the game ended 1-0 in favour of D Shack FC.
In the third game, D2R FC were the favourite to win the clash of the league debutants after defeating one of the favourites to win the league in D Shack FA in match week one, but Stanique FC put five goals past D2R FC in the first half of the game. After an outstanding five-star performance in the first half of the game, D2R FC could only score one goal in the second half; the game ended 5-1 in favour of Stanique FC.
Utility Sports FC, after resting in match week one, started their league campaign against the boys from the ancient city of Ibadan. Ilaji FC started their season with a 0-3 win against Kiraa FC, so they came into match week two with a positive mind and mentality to take all three points to Ibadan. Ilaji FC had the chance to take the lead when the centre referee pointed to the spot for a penalty against Utility Sports FC, but they failed to convert it.
In the second half Ogbu John (jersey number 14) scored the only goal of the match for Utility Sports FC in the 49th minute of the game.
Following their defeat in the league opener against three-time league winner and defending champions Leal FC, Easy N’ter Global FC started their match week two game well, scoring in the second minute of the game against Moxie Samurai FC through Abdulrosheed Sulaimon (jersey number 23).
Adetunji Lasisi wasted no time bringing the Samurai’s boys back to the contest when he scored in the 5th minute of the game to level the scoreline. Adetunji Lasisi scored his brace in the 33rd minute to give his side the lead for the first time in the game. Kehinde Fawaz’s goal in the 48th minute in the second half ensured the team with Japanese affiliate will go home with the maximum three points and also record their first ever win in DSL, having drawn their first ever DSL game against Stanique FC in match week.
The last game was between the defending champions, Leal SC, and Super Accurate FC. The game ended 4-1 in favour of Leal SC, who have scored 10 goals from two games and conceded 2 goals. Leal SC are top on the league log with the maximum 6 points.

OUTSTANDING PLAYERS IN DSL MATCH WEEK TWO.
Two players each scored a hat-trick last week: Emmanuel Edet (Obazz FC) against Immaculate FC and Joseph Okon (Stanique FC) against D2R FC.
The 2 players were inseparable, as they both played the full match, scored first-half hat-tricks and didn’t receive any caution. For the very first time in the DSL, the POTW award would be shared by two players.
