Coach Hamzat Yusuf of Utility Sports FC has been named the Coach of the Month for March in the ongoing Dynasty Scouting League 2025 Season One.
Coach Hamzat, who joined Utility Sports FC in September 2024 and also won the league in his first season (DSL 2024 season 2), was nominated alongside Coach Warri Charles of D Shack FA and Coach Abdulrazaq Shakiru of Leal SC last week Monday.
In the four matches played in March, Utility Sports FC won 3 and drew 1, scoring 16 goals in the process while only conceding 3, and were on top of the DSL S1 league table at the end of March.
Hamzat, whose role models are Coach Akeem Busari and Pep Guardiola, continued from where he ended last season with a good performance in March, and their loss last week to LEAL SC had nothing to do with the decision, as the match was played on April 3.
Hamzat, who is a certified FCAAN, THE ENGLAND FA LEARNING, and NIS coach, wasted no time to appreciate the organiser of the league for recognising the hard work of grassroots coaches.
“I would like to show my gratitude to the Dynasty Scouting League management for giving us the coaches a platform to excel; it’s an honour for me to be nominated alongside coaches I sincerely look up to,” Hamzat told futebol.com.ng
No matter how many come after this, it will be the best because it is my first time winning an individual coaching award in a well-organised league. And to all the coaches in DSL this season, it is a win for all of us.
Coach Hamzat also extends his gratitude to the General Manager of Utility Sports FC, Mr. Lawal Abiodun, and the entire club management for giving him the opportunity and platform to excel.
