Football fans in Ijebu-Ode and environs were privileged to watch two teams based in Epe-Lagos play in the ongoing Dynasty Scouting League in a 2025 DSL S1 week-five fixture that was played Friday, 4th April 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
Before the match, there was nothing to separate both teams in terms of head-to-head in the DSL; both teams have won one and drawn one each in their last three previous meetings. But the 2025 DSL S1 form guide favoured Kakawa FC, as they have won one, drawn one, and lost two, occupying the 9th place on the league log, while BE Arena, on the other hand, has lost all four games and sits at the bottom of the league log.
The trio of Isaac Aondofa, Kehinde Abraham, and Miracle Isah in Kakawa FC’s midfield made life difficult for BE Arena FA as they took total control of the game in the first half.
Akeen Olayinka scored the first goal; Joseph Odey, the captain of Kakawa FC, doubled the lead for his team with a good header from a corner kick well delivered by the little magician Isaac Aondofa. The first half ended 2-0.
BE Area FA came in the second half more determined but could not bridge the defence line of Kawawa FC.
BE Arena FA’s jersey number 9, Emmanuel Nweke, was agonisingly denied a glorious opportunity to reduce the deficit by the goalpost upright in the second half.
Miracle Isah and Lateef Olalekan both scored in the second half of the game to ensure Kakawa FC goes home with all three points in the Epe derby and also with the bragging rights. The latest installment of the DSL Epe derby ended 4-0 in favour of Kakawa FC, who are former champions of the league.
Miracle Isah was named the TSM MOTM award winner, an award sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.

The famous victory against BE Arena FA ensures Kakawa FC climbs the DSL 2025 S1 log to 7th place with 7 points and will face De Elite FA in match week six.
