Kakawa FC ends Fima FC’s winning streak in DLS match week four.

Former DSL champions Kakawa FC ended Fima FC’s winning streak in a week-four clash in the ongoing Dynasty Scouting League that took place on Thursday, 27th March, 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Before the game, Fima FC had enjoyed a fairy-tale start to the league, winning three consecutive games with nine maximum points and was on top of the DSL log after match week three.

Bookmakers and football pundits predicted a win for Fima FC because of the form guide of Kakawa FC, losing two games and drawing one after their first three games, but the Epe-based team proved them wrong.

James Jaja’s goal in the second half of the game was enough to give the 2023 DSL Season 2 champions the maximum three points.

James Jaja also won the TSM MOTM award, an award sponsored by Trailblazer Sport Management.

In a post-match interview, Coach Attai Usman of Kakawa FC said his team approached the game with intensity, changed their pattern of play, and dominated in the middle, which made the opponent find it very difficult to operate.

Kakawa FC are now 9th on the DSL log after four games with 4 points; they have won 1, drawn 1, and lost 2, and their next opponent will be B.E Arena FA in match week 5.
