Immaculate FC dropped all three points in the season opener in the ongoing DSL 2025 season against one of the league debutants.
It was a week one, match day two encounter against Rising Royals Int’l FA, which took place on Friday, the 7th of March 2025, at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
The bookmakers favored Immaculate FC to win the game due to their experience in the dynasty scouting league, but Rising Royals Int’l FA proved them wrong.
Rising Royals Int’l FA center forward Mumeen Baalogun scored the first goal in the first half, while Bello Mohammed and Peter Ojetola scored the second and third goals, respectively, in the second half of the match.
The founding director of Immaculate FC, Mr. Godwin Nse, after the game, admitted that his players were wasteful in front of the opponent’s goal post but believed his boys would bounce back strongly.
Immaculate FC, who finished in 5th place last season (DSL 2024 S1), are now rooted at the bottom of the league log after the 3-0 defeat to Rising Royals Int’l FA on match day.
Immaculate FC’s next game will be against another league debutant, Utmost FC, on Friday, the 14th of March, 2025.
